By 2006 magazines required digital images such as this cover of Sir Roderick Deane above centre.
A decade later the National Bank of NZ had been absorbed by the ANZ, Insto Magazine was gone,
and Mike “Mod’s Motors” O’Donnell was operating TradeMe, where most sellers took their own photographs.
These three magazine covers represent important commercial photography transitions.
I wonder if In 2024 it will be possible to illustrate a photography transition via a printed magazine cover.
